Shapes & Colors, have been waiting to exhale, and they might just get the chance. The pop-rock outfit from Detroit, MI mixes high energy pop-punk riffs while holding to transient stylings similar to Anberlin. The band is also in the midst of working on their newest EP with producer, Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Emery, The Almost), and is crowd-funding the project which you can check out here.

How did you form?
Travis and Zack formed the first incarnation of the band in 2004 at age 13, and spent the next 10 years changing names, members and genres until finally becoming Shapes & Colors in 2011.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Recording our upcoming EP with one of our favorite producers, Aaron Sprinkle, down in Tennessee over the summer.
Why should people listen to you? What makes you different?
Sonically, we have a very diverse sound that offers a little bit of something for everyone, whether it be poppy hooks, heavy breakdowns, or stadium rock like moments of grandiose. We’ve been called a “playlist band” by some, and we take a lot of pride in that. You’ll never know what we’re going to cook up next. Lyrically, it’s about conquering internal struggles that we all face in our lives, and sometimes that’s not always easy. We hope to inspire others not to be content with stagnancy, and really fight for who you want to be.
