The evening was opened by Long Beach, CA rockers, The Greenery. The group performance, accentuated by their lead vocalist’s raw energy was contagious. The Greenery succeeded in surprising more than just myself, as they were extremely charismatic and featured a very unique sound. The night was definitely well started, and the crowd was amped up and ready for the rest of the night.
Next on stage was Backtrack, from New York City, who were eagerly anticipated by the crowd. The audience was certainly not shy in showing their enthusiasm as the first notes rang out. As the songs continued and grew, so did the level of excitement and energy. With tons of stage dives, the energy in the room was palpable. The vocal performance of James Vitalo lived up to my expectations, and even surpassed them.
Then the moment arrived in which the Comeback Kid took the stage. Greeted with a thunderous applause, they started their show with force. It became immediately evident that everybody present was a big fan of the group. Some are even seeing the Comeback Kid for a second time in just three days as they recently played Heartfest. Throughout the entire set the fans participate by screaming out the words to every song. The show included songs from every album, yet featured predominately their newest album, Die Knowing. The crowd was very receptive, and the band gave it their all. If you have the chance to catch this tour, do not miss out!
