The Wildskins are a brand new band that you’re sure to fall in love with. From being a former member of This Love, Josey McFaddin has started a new project alongside Matty Monk to bring listeners soul that partners with pop for the ultimate experience. We have the exclusive premiere of their first single “Runnin,” and we guarantee it won’t come off repeat from the moment you press play. This is definitely an effort to bring hope, that’s first and foremost. Our mission from the spawning of this idea. We know and understand what music can do for others because of what its done for us. This is Matty and I telling our story through our sound.
This first single is a debut of soul, something we felt would help identify not only who we are as a band, but as people too, right off the bat. “Runnin” is a pure example of the organic, gospel like sound that we grew up on and forever challenged each other to comprehend and compose ourselves. As soon as Matty and I started creating we knew this was definitely the direction that we were meant to take. Understanding that our generation may not be as familiar with this specific sound, we are wiling to accept the challenge and continue with confidence in bringing it back to the forefront.
We are so excited to share our art with all of the people that have supported us in our other endeavors and we thank all of those fans and friends. We are getting closer everyday to being back on the road and reconnecting or making a connection with all kinds of people that have no idea who we are or what we are all about. Its been quite a journey so far and we look forward to get tot do what we love and share it everyday. We hope that everyone who hears will wanna be a part of our team for the long road ahead.
