What do you get when you mix punk, electronic, and hip-hop production? Dance punks. And that’s exactly how to describe Philadelphia, PA’s W.C. Lindsay. The band’s combination of styles definitely sets them apart from other sounds. Give these guys a listen and you will have your head bouncing to their beats in no time.

How did you form?
Will began producing electronic music himself about three years ago. He performed using live sampling in his set but was unsatisfied with the energy he was able to produce live while performing alone. As such, he paired up with George and Richie for live shows. The three evolved into a band both live and in the studio after their performance became stronger.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
The best specific moment probably would’ve been on tour last March. Our engine exploded at 1:00am in between Akron, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio and we had a show the next night. A blizzard hit literally five minutes after we pulled off the highway. It was a nightmare, but we pooled our resources, kept a positive attitude throughout, encountered some super rad strangers at Denny’s and a car rental place, made our way to Columbus, and played a packed show to a crowd of wild sweaty friends and fans who screamed our lyrics back at us. It’s a great moment when the conundrum of death by explosion or death by hypothermia transitions rather seamlessly and unexpectedly into a successful live show.
Why should people listen to you? What makes you different?
We like to believe that we successfully blend several different styles into a unique and cohesive way. We view our style as “The Beastie Boys watching The Breakfast Club at Warped Tour” since we the music is essentially Hip-Hop production mixed with Punk energy wrapped up in an Electro-pop package. Simply put, we think of ourselves as Dance Punks.
