“‘The Tide’ is song about overcoming the odds. I think when you put in the time and go through the motions of being in a band, you meet a lot of people. Some people are supportive and some are critical but constructive. But then you meet the people that just want to hate, or feel that their opinion is the law and offer no advice or anything. This is who this song is for. And this idea can be applied to a number of scenarios. Its about continuing to do what you love regardless of what anyone says. Its about putting the work in to make it.”
