I think it is safe to say that the days of watching the latest music video releases on MTV and TRL are over. But that doesn’t mean we love watching them any less! Like watching a movie based off of one of your favorite books, a music video can bring new life to any song.
Earlier this month, indie-pop band, Warships released their debut EP, Shadows. To intensify the excitement, Warships has released their first music video for their single, “Heater.” Directed by Fredrik Boll and Jon Shoer, the video features a whimsical combination of smoky effects and neon lighting.
Set in what appears to be an abandoned motel, the eerie vibe of this video reminds me of a home video version of 30 Seconds To Mars’ video for “The Kill”. Things get really interesting when dancing women with light up bras and a zebra piñata are thrown in the mix. Even though the presentation is quite abstract, it is just crazy enough to work!
