I had not heard of Sheare until about a month ago, and boy was I not only surprised, but thankful that I had been introduced to his music. Sometimes you might hear a song that allows your memory to bring back past events, good or bad, and whether that may be a good or bad for some, there is no denying that it is special. His music did that for me and it can only get better from here so expect to be seeing a lot from this guy in the future. Check out his profile to get to know him a little more as well as taking a look at the music video for his current single, “Somebody Else,” and picking up a free download of his song “We Might As Well Be Dreaming” below.

“Somebody Else”
How did your live band form?
I had been working on the debut record for nearly 3 years and it always had a band feel to it. Each track has nearly 100 different unique instruments/sounds on it, so when it came to putting together the live show I knew I really needed a band. I never really wanted to be a “solo” artist in the traditional sense. I met Jay Sarle through a mutual friend and we really clicked. He’s become a really close friend as well as my musical/creative director for Sheare.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
I think working with Spike Stent (Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Keane) has been such an amazing experience thus far. He’s been really kind to me and has helped me tremendously.
Why should people listen to your music?
I’m not claiming to reinvent the wheel with my music; I just want to make people hum my songs 20 minutes after they first hear them. I always dislike when artists try and over intellectualize their music. I just try to write the most honest, and relatable songs as I can.
