The beginnings of Chicago’s weekend of the chaos that is Riot Fest started out north of Wicker Park at the Congress Theater. Regardless of the fact that Congress is similar to an easy bake oven (you walk in and you’re cooked in two minutes or less), Pegboy, Dead Sara, Neon Trees and The Offspring set the tone that night for what I’d find to be an incredible weekend of music, carnies and a very diverse group of fans infused with absolute chaos at Humboldt Park.
