Grayscale, a Fearless Records signed pop-punk band from Philadelphia, is currently on their headlining tour across North America in support of their brand new album, Nella Vita, that was released earlier this month. Fans within the Grayscale fandom are proud and excited for the band’s brand new album and first ever headlining tour and with that energy, Grayscale put on an unforgettable performance during their recent stop in Portland, Oregon.

Supporting the tour are the bands Rich People, Bearings and Belmont and during their recent stop at Portland’s Paris Theatre, Rich People kicked off the show with a slow, soft beginning that eventually picked up and showcased their heavier sound. They were a great start to the night that got the audience pumped up for the other openers. Bearings went on next, and they asked the crowd during their performance to be as involved as possible by jumping and losing control to their music. There were different paced songs that created a dynamic performance full of dissimilar and innovative sounds. The final opener, Belmont, was definitely the heaviest band of the night. Much of the audience recognised them and their music which made the energy very lively in the venue. For sure, the three openers helped the audience get excited for the main act everyone had all come to see – Grayscale.

With a 12-song set list, Grayscale managed to generate a stellar performance. Opening up with “In Violet,” one of the singles off of Nella Vita and also a fan-favorite, Grayscale also incorporated hits like “Painkiller Weather,” “Baby Blue” and “Forever Yours” into their performance. It was easy to tell that the whole crowd was both familiar and passionate about their music, the majority of them moshing, jumping and singing along, especially when vocalist Collin Walsh asked them to do so. Incorporating interesting and unique transitions that allowed them to seamlessly transition between songs, fans were left in anticipation throughout the night as they waited to see what songs were going to be played next.

Closing out the night with “Atlantic,” the entire performance created a happy, exciting and lively atmosphere, making it easy to see that everyone at the show was a family brought together by one band and their music. Bands like Grayscale make people excited to go their shows and also feel good about being there. Whether you are a fan or not, seeing Grayscale is so worth it. Maybe you’ll even shed a tear with how eager you are about being there. One should not miss out on this tour – it is definitely worth your time.
