Eisley Release Music Video For “Always Wrong”

Eisley have released their music video for “Always Wrong” off their new record I’m Only Dreaming, which is out now via Equal Vision Records. The video was filmed in Nashville, TN with director Israel Anthem (Mutemath, Shiny Toy Guns, Paper Route). Their album was produced by Will Yip (Circa Survive, Balance & Composure, Lauryn Hill). Singer Sherri Dupree-Bemis says the song is “a dark love song about an obsessive lover.”

“I was actually inspired by old Vampire stories and the Brothers Grimm. It’s sung from the perspective of the one who’s obsessed in love. ‘Dust from your hair, a small splinter from your back will keep my raging mind in check.’ Basically the character is twisted and they want to collect artifacts from the person they’re in love with so they can feel closer to them.”

Dupree-Bemis released a statement on the record as well.

“Musically, you could say it’s classic Eisley, in the sense that it’s melodic, moody pop and is written from the heart. Lyrically, it’s very whimsical; it has a vibe that will take you into its own world and let you escape your normal life for a few minutes. I like to cloak things in a little mystery and romance; I think it’s part of what makes all of Eisley’s songs sound like they’re from the same world. Every record is like opening and reading a book in a series.”
