Exclusive Premiere: Miki Fiki – “Hemingway”

Ted Hartog, aka Miki Fiki, grew in up southern Indiana corn country and currently resides in the honkey-tonk capitol of the world–Nashville, Tennessee. With a musical style that rivals Vacationer and Ra Ra Riot and lyrical content like that of the Avett Brothers and Ben Folds, Miki Fiki has settled nicely between the sounds of his influences and his own unique style.

“Hemingway,” with soft horns and a classic piano chord reverberating throughout the song, pays homage to the great author Ernest Hemingway and the ’20s era. Hartog spends the whole song reflecting on the character of a girl, much like the great author himself did in his books.

Miki Fiki’s self-titled EP is set to release this spring with a tour to follow in the fall. Miki Fiki will be available to download or stream on iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify on March 3.
