Milestones Stream Debut Record “Equal Measures”

UK band Milestones have made their debut album Equal Measures via Fearless Records available for streaming through Rock Sound. You can pre-load the album here or listen below. The album comes out Friday July 8th, 2016. The group are about to head out on tour in the UK, tour dates listed after the video.

A message from the band about their first record (our very own former Editor-in-Chief, Jenn Stookey helped launch their partnership with Fearless Records):
“‘Call Me Disaster’ for myself is the most poppy song on the record. It was nice to try something like this because it gave us a totally new dynamic to our sound, and one we’d like to explore for future releases,” vocalist Matt Clarke explains. “The song is about making the same decisions over and over again and really being stuck in a vicious cycle of not moving on from relationships and inevitably having the same issues in your next. It’s about a harsh truth that after a relationship you truly are, and should be, alone. Otherwise, you never truly find peace in yourself and the problems and heartache you’d faced. I think this time alone is what helps you learn things about yourself and ultimately what you want, and therefore your next love will be more suited. The video follows a young boy and his first love with his childhood sweetheart and shows their love blossoming through a shared passion of videography and movies. It’s quite a nicely crafted, light-hearted version of the song’s meaning but stays with the ethos that good memories come out of everything; just because the partnership ended doesn’t make them regrettable.”
