Spring Break is right around the corner, and so is vacation. Whether you’re headed to the beach for some time in the sun, up to the mountains for some skiing, or just staying in with Netflix, here are the top five albums that need to make it onto your playlist for the road and beyond.
The Front Bottoms – “Talon of the Hawk”
Easily my favorite driving record of all time. Super high energy and honest storytelling makes the drive to the beach or the top of the hill so much faster. With catchy melodies and a library of instruments, the album never disappoints.
Katy Perry – “Teenage Dream”
You may be exhausted of hearing it, but California Girls is the perfect spring break beach song. Fueld by other hits such as “Teenage Dream” and “Firework” this album is guaranteed to make for a high energy spring break…. Even if we’ve heard the tracks a million times.
The Weakerthans – “Reunion Tour”
Sometimes you just need to mellow out for the ride or flight. The Weakerthans take you to a serene place where you can get lost in the music on your way to the fun.
Fall Out Boy – “Take This To Your Grave”
Bona Fide pop-punk done right. The first release by Fall Out Boy has so many great songs that you won’t stop singing until you’re on the beach with a beer in hand.

Quirky and fun, this album gives you everything you need to get pumped for fun for the week.
