Top Five Fueled By Ramen Releases
Words and Picks by Jessica Klinner

Over the years, Fueled By Ramen has been home to some big names in alternative music. When they sign a new band, you know to put that band on your radar because they are going places. FBR has released many great albums from bands like Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World and so many more. Below are five of my favorite FBR releases.

Paramore – Paramore
I wish I could go back in time and listen to this album for the first time again. It put me in an awestruck trance, and I have yet to find another album that made me feel like this one did the first time I heard it. Honestly, I think I was just completely blown away by Paramore’s growth as a band and how well it translated in the album. I feel like Hayley Williams took a look inside my brain when she wrote these songs because I relate to so many of them, and there’s something special about sharing the same experiences and thoughts expressed in a song. I’m not sure how they will top this album in the future, but I’m sure they will.

Fun. – Aim and Ignite
As much as I love Some Nights, there is just something about this album that makes it my favorite release from Fun so far. There truly isn’t a song on this album that I don’t absolutely love. It sounds simpler and less dramatic than Some Nights, and I think there’s something beautiful in that simplicity. I will love anything Fun creates as a band because so far they’ve only produced great music, but Aim and Ignite will always be my number one!

Fall Out Boy – From Under The Cork Tree
This is not the first time this album has made an appearance in my staff picks, and it probably won’t be the last. Even though it’s hard to pick a favorite Fall Out Boy album, From Under The Cork Tree contains the first songs I heard from the band. I’m pretty sure that at least half this album was my Myspace profile song at some point. We go way back.

 Twenty One Pilots – Vessel
As one of the newer additions to the Fueled By Ramen family, Twenty One Pilots has made quite a name for themselves with their debut album. When this album was released, everyone was talking about how great it sounded. Once I finally bought into the hype, I immediately fell in love and kicked myself for not listening to it sooner. Twenty One Pilots have such a unique approach to their music and their live show is something special. I can’t wait for their next album.

A Rocket To The Moon – Wild & Free
I still haven’t grasped the reality of A Rocket To The Moon’s breakup. It came quite suddenly and without warning. I honestly believe this is the best album ARTTM ever produced as a band, and I hate that they only got to tour on it one time. This album deserved so much more recognition than it received. I still listen to it often and dream of a reunion. Maybe one day? I’m staying optimistic.
