Drunk Souls – Favorite “Winter” Album

0

Even though Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow which calls for an earlier spring, it is still currently winter! We all have those albums that either remind us of the frigid cold season, or we only listen to during this time of year. DJaM, lead vocalist of the reggae-rock band Drunk Souls, has shared with us his favorite album that he associates with winter and why. Check it out and you may have a new favorite album to listen to in the cold as well.

As far as myself, winter is quite a sad and cold season, and I ‘d rather associate it to a calm, melancholic music. I would listen to, comfortably sat down on an armchair, questioning my existence, and finally deciding to survive ’till the next spring, and to go through all this I think the first solo album of Beth Gibbons, Mysteries, is perfect. I love the fragile, warm and melancholic voice of Beth on this album. It’s not very joyful but life is not a whole piece of fun, is it?

So, I would say Mysteries is a perfect thing to depress with grace during winter.
