Angry Bears – Best Or Worst Halloween Memory

0

Halloween is only one day away, can you believe it? In the midst of searching to find the perfect costume, figuring out which candy to buy, and mapping out the perfect trick-or-treat strategy, we had the chance to catch up with Rich-O from the east coast pop punk band Angry Bears. Rich tells us about the strangest Halloween he has ever experienced, which includes a blizzard! Read below to get the full story, it’s definitely one you wouldn’t expect.

It wouldn’t necessarily be the best or worst Halloween experience but certainly one of the strangest, and appropriate with the current storm going on. Last year we were gearing up to play our show in Hartford, Ct. on Halloween. It was supposed to be a promising show with lots of people dressed up and having a good time at the venue we were playing. Anyway….it snowed. And when I say snowed, I mean it was a legitimate blizzard. We were dedicated to keeping up with our obligations so we drove the 45 minutes to the venue. On the way we passed deserted cars and trucks that were stuck all sorts of ways in the snow. Just banks and banks of snow piling up on the side of the highway. The city looked like a ghost town, but the tavern was still open so we set up out stuff and prepared. It ended up one of those shows where the bands are pretty much playing to each other. Sadly the biggest show going on in this place was the sound guy who was being a TOTAL dick to everyone. The scenery looked the same on the drive home, but we managed to make it back. One of the oddest parts about it when you look back is the fact that the only time is snowed at all last year, of note, was on Halloween.
